The Bravest Of Them All

The Bravest of them all

<——— Chief Gahegi

Once there was an evil man named Gluscabi. Gluscabi would chant words and grandfather Alligator would come and charge anybody close to him but nobody would be able to tell the chief Gahegi the words because they would be in prison forever!

Then, one day Gahegi got tired of getting half of his tribe captured because there land was “to close” to Gluscabi’s. It would be a risk, but Gahegi would take it. Gahegi would send ALL of his best warriors to take on Gluscabi. So when Gahegi announced what he would do, everybody in the tribe agreed, everybody except Ishtapede. Ishtapede wanted to come to.

The next week when the chief was going to depart his best warriors, Ishtapede was determined to come too. So as the warriors adventured in to the moonlight with grandfather bear, so did Ishtapede, except he was not adventuring he was sneaking.

After 10 days of no food, Ishtapede regretted his terrible choice to come with the warriors. It was horrible! First, since nobody knew he was with the warriors he could only drink from puddles, and there was NO FOOD. Ishtapede was on the verge of stealing some food when he saw a bush of tender, sweet, and juicy blueberries, his favorite food just waiting for him. Ishtapede had almost know other choice, he was about to faint anyways, he raced over to the bush but what did he see behind the bush, Gluscabi! He should of known the bush was to good to be true, now he could either run or scream that he saw Glusabi, or he could die.

Ishtapede decided to run, but grandfather Alligator was slowly gaining on him. Ishtapede screamed, but none of the warriors herd him. Ishtapede wanted to go back to his roundhouse and eat some fish super badly. When Ishtapede was thinking that he suddenly heard a clench of teeth just when grandfather Alligator ate him. The warriors had not had any success either and had returned after 43 days of nonstop hunt.
